I am a trial attorney specializing in civil rights law.

At one point, I was in the top 500 Amazon Reviewers for book reviews. Then, I was canceled by Amazon for too critical reviews of Ibrahim Kendi and Timothy Snyder. This is my substitute.

I read a lot. My reading taste is eclectic. I read science fiction, fantasy, history, law, philosophy, religion, and whatever grabs my attention. I have been reading St. Thomas Aquinas for the last 20 plus years, so I read and review a lot of Scholaticism.

My reviews are long and in-depth because that is where I analyze, synthesize and memorialize the arguments and facts made in the book.

When Amazon canceled me I had over 1,000 reviews, generally of books that were not reviewed by anyone else. Many of my reviews were the top rated reviews for books in philosophy, history, and religion.

I have had authors thank me for my reviews.

Quite gratifying.

But, then, I dared - dared! - to observe that Ibrahim X. Kendi’s “How to be an Anti-Racist” was the best book of its kind since “Mein Kampf.” I was also in the top 10 reviews of Timothy Snyder’s “On Tyranny” - and had been for years - with a negative review. These acts of lese majestie were impermissible.

My reviews were dumped into the digital memory hole.

I’ve been on Medium, but I don’t trust that I will not be given the same treatment there.

So, here I am.
